Anyone hear the Von Schweikert DB-99?

Does anyone own or heard this speaker? If so, please give me your impressions.

Also, what are the sonic benefits (if any) in a high efficency speaker over regular efficency?

I am having a problem with the built in amp in one of the speakers kicking off and on during complex/heavy bass sections in music. Am changing tubes currently in my mono blocks to see if this helps. Does anyone else have this occur to them?
