B&W 803D vs 803Di

Is there a major difference between the first generation B&W 803D and the new 803Di? Is it really worth the price difference

I have listened to both, extensively.Actually over SEVERAL YEARS, trying different combintations etc. I stand by my opinion.
To me, no it is not much different. I would look into used 802d/di as a better place to spend money.
James63. Thanks for your input. The 802 series was what I was reffering to.
Hello to all...

I have to agreed with budt. I have own all of b&w 802 from the N, D, & Di series of b&w. The Di is vastly better then the D. The Di has improve the 802 from top to bottom. By using better magnet, the top is more dynamic & smoother, & same with the mid. The bass is more taunter & define. Sound stage is bigger & more open. The TAS give it a speaker of the year award and that should mean something. I ran all of the 802n,D,Di with pass xa100.5 amp. The new series has change completely except the cabinet. It's like a whole new speakers. Just my 2cents...
