Best Ceiling Speakers for $1K a Pair

I want some decent ceiling mounted speakers for my family room for 2 channel sound. 9' ceiling x 13' short walls x 14'-6" long walls. The speaker "throw" will be in the long direction. Triads are supposed to be good but seem very expensive. I just want good quality background music for now, but will eeventually incorporate into a HT surround sound system, so it needs to be expandable in the future w/ all ceiling mounts. Thanks.
