Favourite ECM Titles

Just came across this "dormant" thread. Seems worth resurrecting. Been listening to Egberto Gismonti in trio w/Charlie Haden and Jan Garbarek. Love Ralph Towner (already posted "Solstice" here). Will have to check out "Chiaroscuro". Hope others will check out "Magico" by Gismonti and company.

ECM always got a great sound in live recording as well as their studio stuff.

And an unusual Kieth Jarrett is Spheres, where he performs on an organ (not a Hammond B3, think cathedral type organ).

coincidentally, i just picked up a copy of bennie maupin, jewel in the lotus. incredible piece; avantgarde and accessible at the same time. i've also always like terje rypdal (what comes after being the one to which i usually default).

Roscoeiii: If you like Emerald Tears you will enjoy Life Cycle. Amazing stuff.
