Great Jazz SACDs

I just left the CD world and moved into SACD world. I am trying to figure out witch SACDs to purchase. Not only does it need to be great music, but also looking for pressings that match or exceed the sound from vinyl. Any suggestions? Thanks

Here is a great web-site from whom to buy SACD's

http://www.amusicdirect.com/

Go there, load SACD in the search engine and it will list all of their SACD's available. They currently have 770 SACD's listed for sale, plus other Audiophile quality recordings. I have bought from there and they do a great job. They ship fast, their prices are reasonable, they e-mail you with the tracking number. Check 'em out.
I agree with Rsbeck

http://www.amusicdirect.com/ Great selection, future releases and fast shipping.

Thanks everyone. I bought a few this week. Tried Kind of Blue by Miles Davis. Compared to my Vinyl record. Vinyl beat the sound hands-down. Bought Pink Ployd DSOTM. Vinyl better.
Bought two Diana Krall. Very happy. Sound good.
My sense is that it is 90's and later stuff that benefit from SACD, not earlier. I plan to start a discussion on that topic. By the way I purchased most of my first set of SACD from towerrecords. The FedEx 2 days free of charge.
Rsbeck- since you've obviously invested a lot time & money in this format, what Jazz SACDs do you recommend?
I am just beginning to listen to SACD's and I am still
waiting on my Dac6. I started listening to SACD on a
Yamaha s2300 Universal Player, which was okay. For a
little while, I had a Sony SCD XA777ES [1,600 used on A'gon]in my rack prior to giving it to my brother for his birthday, which was a HUGE upgrade over the Yamaha.

With that caveat -- here is a list of Jazz SACD's I have
enjoyed:

(In no particular order)

1) Sonny Rollins Plus Four

2) Ray Brown, Monty Alexander, Russel Malone

3) Chet. Chet Baker.

4) Bill Evans Trio -- Sunday at The Village Vanguard

5) Mingus -- Ah Um

6) Ray Brown -- Soular Energy

7) Art Pepper -- Meet The Rhythm Section

8) John Coltrane -- Soul Trane

I will have better information after I get the Dac6 in my
rack and get to listen to more SACD's.
