I'm in Tokyo for the next week. Are there any good stores to visit with esoteric/high end gear that is reflective of trends I've been reading about in Japan for decades? Not interested in seeing the typical fare available in the US.
Geoff, yeah, I heard that too, and saw the pictures. For traditional Japanese the best visitor is the one that doesn't come. Certainly not without invitation.
Welcome to Tokyo. You should visit Dynamic Audio in Akihabara. That is 'the high-end store' in Japan. Each floor has a different floor master selecting equipment and higher you go, they have more expensive stuff.
