Refoaming woofers is easy. The main thing is they should be flat level. not vertical.
The fact without refoaming you have no idea if they will even work.. Means not refoamed they can only be sold as maybe working.for parts. Where if you refoam them (have faith in your skills!) then power them up AND they play. then you have some working speaker to sell. Not scrap for parts. Plus the actual value of those speakers is not really very high... paying a lot for refoaming just to sell may mean you LOSE MONEY having paid more for refoaming than you can get for them.
I hears a pair of the speakers owned by a dealer employee. I ended up buying new Infinity RSIIa instead of the RS 4.5s
If you really do not want to refoam them.. Just cut some duct tape into little trapazoids, create a fake surround out of the tape pieces. Then fire up the speakers.I did this for a friend who found some JB Lansings with blown surrounds for $45. She used them with the duct tape for ten years! (I suggest removing the tape right away, so the goo from the tape comes off with the tape! PS the EMIM have a value alone of about $200 each. EMIT $75 this figure may be high or low, as I sold mine for the EMIM and EMIT parts back in early 2000s.and made what I paid for them, and I did not even sell the woofers or the cabinet! The part were worth MORE than the whole speakers ! .If the woofers are so special, you may discover your parts are also worth more than the whole. My action may be a horror for an Infinity maven, but stuff outlives it's useful life.
