Rok, that's got to be the the best "Jazz Messenger" group ever; Lee Morgan and Benny Golson were at the top of their game along with the rest of the group, I had to look and play that one twice.
Enjoy the music.
Jazz for aficionados
O-10: ***** that's got to be the the best "Jazz Messenger" group ever;****** I agree. I never get over how easy it is, to see and hear such great players, just by clicking a few keys. What a wonderful technology!! What effect, if any, do you think the change in policy towards Cuba, could eventually have on Jazz in both countries? Could it save Jazz in this country? Food for thought. An infusion of folks that understand rhythm, surely would not hurt. I hope all their great players aren't dead, like ours are. Cheers |
Besame Mucho by one of my favorite vocalists, Carmen McRae; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLWll2UCkac Plus "Where or When" by Ms. Lena Horne; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnRSM3dLSTk I just thought I'd throw in something to make you homesick Rok. By the way, that bridge crossing that muddy river looked just like the one I crossed in the "Duece" going to Hattiesburg, and it was also the first time I heard "Ode to Billy Joe". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HaRacIzZSPo Enjoy the music. |
Speaking of Rahsaan, has anyone heard this one; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zL3huimzCA Enjoy the music. |
