ModWright Pioneer DVD Transport

Has anyone tried the ModWright Pioneer DVD transport. It is based on the pioneer DVD players such as the DV45 etc....... If so, what DAC did you use? What does it compare to?

Have you made any decisions? I am fairly new to this and am quite overwhelmed by all the options.
