RadioParadise streaming FLAC

Any RadioParadise listeners on here?  RP recently announced lossless FLAC streaming through their  mobile apps and their Apple Desktop application.  There is no Lossless streaming URL at this time.

I normally stream it through the RP 320acc URL to a Wyred4Sound 96K moded SONOS Connect then coax to an external DAC.    I just connected up an old AppleTV and redirected the desktop RP application to the AppleTV for some A/B testing, also set the app to lossless.  But the desktop app is not the same track as the URL and I have been sick the last few days and my head feels like a balloon so A/B testing is suboptimal to say the least.

Anyone else messing around with this?

I love Radio Paradise and listen daily. Bluesound issued an update recently to take advantage of the new flac stream and it sounds great using my Node 2. Sounds good on mobile as well.
I just compared Peter Gabriel songs ( had to wait a couple songs before comparing).  I think the Lossless sounds a bit better than my upsampled version.  Getting some interrupts and the app crashed once so I think I need to play with the cache settings.  Doesn't sound like the URL version is coming anytime soon.

RP is my favorite streaming radio.

Giving it a try now running on amazon fire tv box. Sounds good.  Sentimental by Porcupine Tree playing.
Good support as well. Sent a crash log last night and had response email from the developer this morning.
Listening to Radio Paradise on Node 2  and it sounds great.  It also sounds good on iPad and iPhone.  For some reason when listening on the Mac through a browser it sounds lousy. 🤔
@johnmohr

Are you using the new radioparadise site or the legacy?  If on the new one do you have it set to FLAC?
@jbuhl,  I also am enjoying listening to Radio Paradise on my Aurender N10 Music Server.  The sound quality is very good since it streams at 320k.   Unfortunately, my Aurender N10 does not support RP FLAC Streaming yet.  I have requested Aurender support RP FLAC and have no information of their status.
Does Radio Paradise have a FLAC URL so I can stream RP FLAC on my Aurender N10 Music Server?

If not, I assume I can going to need RP to make available an API that Aurender can use to stream RP FLAC.
No support thru ROON
and so far... to best of my knowledge, NAIM and RP somehow think 320 KB is special for NAIM owner.....

argh
@hgeifman
No FLAC stream URL that I know of. I think there is an API as I saw this on GitHub. https://github.com/marco79cgn/radio-paradise/releases/tag/v1.0-beta
Not sure that will work for what your need. I sent an email to one of the developers who works on the iOS app maybe he can shed some light.
@jbuhl, Thanks.   Unfortunately, Radio Paradise FLAC Streaming is not available on my Aurender N10 Music Server.   As I understand it, RP needs to make an API available to Aurender so they can build an interface to stream RP FLAC.  I emailed RB yesterday and asked for the status of an API Aurender can use to provide RP FLAC.    Thanks.

Or, maybe, another option is for RB to provide an URL for RP FLAC Streaming.  Thanks.

I’ve streamed RP in the FLAC setting over the RP app on my iPhone > Airport Express > my main system for a couple of 2 hour-ish stretches now over the past 48 hrs..  Sounds very good to me...the high freq. seems ever so slightly rolled off compared with 16 bit AIFF vinyl conversions from my computer via the same AE...same with CD files ripped to the same computer.  I’m not “digital audio savvy” enough to know whether this might be some sort of Airport Express bottleneck though (or, indeed, whether it might be improved Sonics — it sounds more euphonic in a “balanced” sort of fashion the longer I listen.)
Aurender Customer Support reports I can use Apple AirPlay on my iPad and output the RP FLAC signal to my Aurender. I tried to do this but need better instructions.   Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thanks.
For example, I go to the RP web page in my iPad, select RP FLAC streaming and somehow output the signal to my Aurender. I have no clue how the signal goes from the iPad to the Aurender.  And, how do I select it to play on my Aurender.

Does anyone know how to do this?  Thanks.

hgeifman,... in the RP app on my iPhone, in the window that shows what song is playing, there’s an icon to extreme right in the row below the “play” and “pause” buttons that looks like a little pyramid with concentric circles emanating from its top.  When I press that icon, I get a list of devices that are online & ready to receive a signal — All I’ve got in my setup are Apple devices so YMMV re: the Aurender.....I choose whatever device I want to stream to from that list and listen.  Apologies if this is more of a proprietary Apple thing...
@lg1,  Thanks for the info.  I cannot get it to play so I will email Aurender for help.  Their Conductor App has a tab to stream to the Aurender from my iPad but it is not working.  I must have a setting that is not set correctly.  Thanks.
I enabled iPad to Aurender streaming and started Radio Paradise and selected FLAC Streaming.  It started but I had no sound.  I checked everything and it seems okay.  I went back to the Aurender and played a Tidal song with no problem.  I returned to the Aurender, enabled the connection, started RP and still no sound coming thru the system.

Aurender support advises “try switching over to the “N10-xxxx USB” airplay target (the other “N10” per your your screen shot)”.    Busy tonight and will test on Wednesday.   Getting close, I hope.

I just got an email from Bill Goldsmith regarding streaming FLAC.  RP is working on a simple stream URL and also an API that supports song skip and other features.  So stay tuned.
