Tekton Design's new THE PERFECT SET equals "goosebumps time"

Just got in house for review for hometheaterreview.com Tekton Design’s new, The Perfect SET, which is close to 100dB efficient and never dips below 8 ohms, which Eric built to be used with SET "flea watt" amplifiers. It is a front ported design using a 12 inch woofer and his patented array of small transducers that function as a midrange driver with a single tweeter in the middle. I set them up in a system with a great 2A3 SET amplifier and found them so superlative I did not stop listening for over five hours! Taking about "goosebump time" the music was so beautiful that
I lost track of time.

These speakers have all the virtues of the other Tekton speakers, speed, utter transparency/micro-details, great soundstaging, and that special "aliveness" that I experience when I listen to my Ulf’s. What really amazed me was what the Perfect SET was delivering on the bottom end frequencies, subterrainian/taut powerful bass, that was shaking the room, all coming from at most 2.5 to 3 watts.

If you love SET amplifiers this speaker is a match made in heaven, and remember this pair just arrived and is not totally burnt in yet.

If you call Teajay , he will accommodate you, and I benefited from Him, He guided me what tekton speakers for my taste and my room size, I have a friend who is very greatful to Teajay, He likes his gear and speakers review, I do too. If you guys have anything against Erik , Don’t buy his product then. And let’s all move on, Honestly with the negative comment on Erik , I still bought one of his speakers, I was treated right...And now Iam enjoying his speakers, they are good....
Rotarius if Eric owe you buddy money, He should pay your buddy back...Call him maybe He forgot...
TFL303 My friend has Tekton monitor paired with xa 25, pre is Backert, this system is the best system I’ve heard...it has no weakness ....
Missioncooney , for a while I took a break reading post here at Agon ,  I got tired of reading non sense arguments, name calling, disrespecting one onother, Davidten ask me to come back just for the Andra thread, Just take a break reading Teajay thread and post , they are plenty of topic here, to read, that you will enjoy....
Ketchup with respect to you, we should make this forum more informative, do the best we can to share our experience toward cables, gears, and share what they did to our system, this thread was already derailed , so much time spend talking about Eric and his service, and questioning Teajay motives, and credibility, Maybe I should just write one thread, Like this.. Please write all the bad experience you have on Tekton ... and please write your good experience on Tekton what do you guys think?
It’s a choice to audition, $400 is the risk you have to take, it’s up to you to figure out the headache, the cost, or any possible disagreement , if things does not work out, dealing online is way different than you neighbor dealer... if it’s worth the risk go for it...
Cap you are talking about Wilson’s right? If you have the money why not? With all the negative comments that tekton get from Agon, they continue to have more orders.
Teajay please continue to post and review, Your post are vital to those who are willing to learn from them, if I were you , I will just move on...
Dgny I agree with the 7 array design , if you can match them or tune them properly , like I did , you will enjoy the musicality coming out of them. Array design works....For me they sounds live... What Clemen Perry describe on Encore Tektons is very very true, that’s what I hear on my impact monitor in a small way....Anyone on the Chicago area has Encore?
Honestly it’s so sad this thread was derailed, misdirect, to the point where it became personal, I realize we all have different taste on any speaker we chose, The first time I read about Tekton , I did not even took it seriously, I realize later the posters do know what they are talking about, Yes many negative comment too, like Mr m said there are many speakers out the that He prefer, I respect that, Tekton speakers are not for everyone...As you know I bought the impact monitor, When Markr visited my place and He likes them , He end up buying one,it’s ok not to buy Tekton product if you do not  like them, it’s your money..Teajay you know I respect your reviews passion for audio , let’s move on , .... for there is power in quietness...this is such a enjoyable hobby ...
I believe most of us posting here at Agon, are very nice, You will be surprise how they are when you meet them in person..In disagreement it’s really hard to feel how nice they are, thanks Teajay for moving on , and more info😀
Dgny that’s my impression on the set too... Agree Tonykay too many Tekton thread...
Ketchup they are not built less than Average, I  have one, I like my impact monitor the way it’s built, I wish , I have the piano finish...
Ketchup if the Tekton are built like the Wilson speakers , I can’t afford one, Iam ok with the built and look, especially the performance...
Wow Teajay as good as the Impact monitor, the SET is a bit improvement , for less money? It looks like , no sub needed..
Teajay I have concierto amp by Art Audio, I think this would match SET without any problem ......What do you think?
Reviews gives you an idea how the gears, cables, speakers sound,I always like to read Herb Reichert review, I trust Him , and I think we have the same taste, Robert Harley is one of my favorite reviewer as well...Teajay I could tell, He is very passionate on this hobby, He lives maybe 2 hrs from Toska audio in Illinois , and I saw Him on the way out, I was told that’s Teajay, We both attended this seminar about vynil tt set up.blew me away , 2 hrs drive for the seminar? And He is there... So far his review on Double Impact got me to buy the impact monitor , I am thinking now to audition the SET instead of the encore...I can smell something special on this speaker...
First of all Teajay thank you for inviting us, opening the door so wide for us, We enjoyed both of your systems, The first thing I did when I got home , I read yourPS  thread again, the way you describe the SET is very very accurate, Goosebump time is precise too, When we play M.A recording Goldberg variation in piano, my jaw drop, I have never heard the Don Bennett cd sleeping giant as good as that it’s so live , the music is so beautiful...those PS are musically intimate, Mark fell in love with the PS...Your Ulf blew me away on every music we play, on big scale orchestra they are effortless and musically powerful, Going back to PS for $1800 they are bargain.its shocks me..
There is something on the PS that draws you to the music automatically, the palpabilty of the PS will draw you the music, and they are very fast...We  play Bob Dylan, Blowin in the Wind , You thought he is the room, His guitar sound right with those PS...The speakers looks good too in glossy black finish....
Jetter I agree, it’s proven the xa 25 is perfect match for the impact monitor, The SET would probably shine on the XA 25...
We listen to Threshold amp only, on ss the PS shines..Iam not sure how will they sound on your LTA 1 watt,.You can’t go wrong with those PS , they are  rediculously bargain...On glossy finish they look very nice..
The Tektons loves good ss amp, Iam using modified SS  Plinius SA 100...My Viva tube is 22 w it does sound good on my impact monitors, but can’t do the dynamics and the bass impact Plinius does.....When I order the SET I will be using my concerto 40 w art audio...this is probably enough power for them...
Roadwarrior75 you can try your Threshold with the SET if you decide to order, the combo at Teajay is well match, the SET are happy...
Axememan , at least we are able to prove, the description of Teajay are very accurate, and precise .Driving on the snow and strong wind for more than an hr going to hear the SET and meeting a very nice person like Teajay, all worth it.by the way I called Tekton 10 to 12 wait for the high gloss SET finish...
Mac going to Teajay is really enjoyable, I will stop by, If I were you , nice musical sounding systems, Teajay systems got me retune my systems, Teajay is a very neutral  host, He accept any opinion on his system, Most of all He is extremely very very nice guy....You will be surprise how musical and intimate the PS are...If you like classical , ask Him to play the CD he played on his Ulf when I was there...
