Vinyl Newbie Needs Help


Hello fellow vinyl addicts I am a member of generation X and missed put on tubes and vinyl. Now in my early thirties I ve been able to put togther a decent tube and vinyl playback system and I am hooked !! However with my musical tastes radically changing I find I am clueless about what to buy.

The funky soulful sounds of Grover Washington JR and the silky sultry voice of Sade are two favorites. The first Mark Almond record is awesome too and I seem to like Steely Dan. I guess I am becoming a bit of a jazz fan but it can't be too slow and laidback I loose interest.

I also like sax and acoustic guitar as long as its moving to a decent beat.

Help me please!!!

If you like the blues, try some of the fantastic new recordings from Accoustic Sounds Blue Heaven Studios. They will blow you away from the performances to the recording quality.

All generally good recordings and or examples of the style...Sonny Rollins "Way out West" will hook you into jazz and give you the best blown bop and occassionally slow, not soft riffs!
