Who is the best singer of the world ?

Hello guyz
Tell me Dissertation Help here who is the best singer by your opinion ?
angellily
At the moment, I'll nominate Jackie Evancho.  Ever?  That's a tough one.
Way ahead of the pack was George Gobel.

2ND place goes to Leontyne Price.
Dunno but of newer current singers I'm enjoying Tove Los voice the most.
Silly questions get silly answers. And what does "dissertation help" mean in this context?

Since the website those words link to has nothing to do with the question that was asked, or with anything to do with audio, and given also that the poster is newly registered and has no other history here, it would appear that the post has been made for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) purposes.  In other words, for the purpose of elevating the position of the linked website in search engine results.  In other words, it's a form of spam.

Anyway, glad everyone seems to be having fun with it.  Regards,

I don't know who the best singer is, but surely the bestest singer has to be whoever sang the Capitan Kangaroo song.
Pavarotti  a Great tenor, I am not a huge Opera fan ,but the Central Park
blue ray  concert was incredible and his range second to none R.I.P  great one

Rock Freddie Mercury very hard to beat the Montreal Blue ray Just buy it
fantastic ,and Brian May understated great guitarist.

all time Great Icon  singer The King - Elvis . Hawaii DVD concert excellent .
My Wife! (she reads my posts sometimes:)

But seriously, I have to go with Aaron Neville. One of those that you either love or hate.
Funny I was listening to some Neville Brothers today and that thought crossed my mind.

Ncarv, too funny. I noticed Charles Bronson didn’t really get the timbre right, did he!
My vote for best singer is new sensation, Angel Lily. Keep your eyes peeled on upcoming Rolling Stone issues for tour date announcements.
Male singer would be Tim Buckley (Jeff Buckley's father) also known as "Superthroat".  His record album "Greetings From LA" (released in 1972) is a classic, with the most amazing vocal gymnastics ever and an amazing exhibition of range. Best female singer is Patsy Cline, although case could be made for Minnie Riperton or Aretha Franklin!

Love the film of Paint Your Wagon.

And the film has one thing a stage production can never have.

A huge booming thundering male chorus.

Assuming that this was a serious question, (no doubt I'm wrong once again), I think its a great question. To me, voices are very personal choices. Harry Chapin, for example didn't have a melodic voice at all, but he could inspire tears in Corey's Comin'. The Duet of Sarah Brightman and Andre Bochelli is beyond the pale. At the totally personal level, I love a 50 year old voice of Joanie Sommers singing 'Once' with Laurindo Alemedia. (spelling??)
I do know this the right singer, male or female takes music lovers into a different dimension.
Love the Question.

I like he answer the late Danny Gatton gave during an interview for a Washington Post article titled "The Greatest Guitar Player you've never heard of"  When asked how do you feel about being called the greatest guitar player in the world. He said "when you get to the top of the tree you find out there's a lot of leaves up there"

im sure this will lead to another thread

Danny Gatton deserves his own thread! Speaking of singers, Evan Johns was the singer in he and Danny’s combo The Good Humor Band. When I recorded with him he told me Danny was the best musician he’d ever worked with. Evan sings like George Jessel crossed with a 50’s Blues Shouter---once heard, never forgotten. Evan is also a great guitarist, though not at Danny’s level (who is?). He had three albums on the Rykodisc label in the 80’s-90’s. The album I did with him is entitled "Moontan". He played his Telecaster plugged straight into a Fender blackface Super Reverb (65 tube watts, 4-10’s) on 10. It sounded like a jet taking off!
That's kind of a silly question given the wide variety of musical styles there are.  That's why you've gotten so many silly answers.

My own favourite living singer is Wesla Whitfield.  Take a listen at:

Hers is an amazing story.  Read at:
