Rereleased "classic" vinyl not worth the money. Better to look for an older even used original pressing than an overpriced reissue. While I'm happy to see vinyl's success, I am annoyed to find new reissues crowding out space in my used record store bins. Other than an occasional vinyl version of a CD age release (E.G. Diana Krall's early catalog CDs), or a Mobile Fidelity vinyl, I think a lot of the new vinyl are overpriced and not worth the money as my own experience has been more "miss" than "hit" with the recent reissues. Me? I'm sticking to hunting for the older issues of vinyl.
glad they are jumping on the vinyl bandwagon. that is sure to save them from circut city's fate.
As a matter of fact the Best Buy stores had vinyl in it over 6 months ago before Christmas. Vintage Rock and some Hip Hop. Some 180 Gm. EVentually everyone will be carrying it again. A 70's revival is coming. At least as long as oil prices stay low. If oil prices go back to $4.00 per gallon or higher you may see a little less. Enjoy.
