PS Audio vs NAD M12
razorbraun, the NAD M12 looks nice, but the sound is prolly mid-fi at best. My advice is don't waste your money,
PS Audio vs NAD M12
Another thing about the NAD M12 that's a huge red flag IMHO is that there's no information about which D/A chip is used. The NAD website doesn't mention it, and none of the reviews mention it. It's a pig in a poke AFAIK.
PS Audio vs NAD M12
I’d go with the PS Audio DirectStream DAC. The designer, Ted Smith, is a genius. Moreover, PS Audio provides exemplary customer service, and Paul McGowan, the sole proprietor AFAIK, is a true mensch, a real good guy!On the other hand, NAD is an in...
300B Warmup versus other tube or SS amps?
I turn my tube gear on ten minutes before listening. Solid state you can leave on all the time.
Klipsch!. The worst speaker company, EVER?
"Music is supposed to be a fun distraction, not a beat down for what one person likes/dislikes." That is so true!
Amplifiers for KEF Blades with Cary SLP-05 premap.
The Art Audio Jota HC with 300 BXLS tube will produce 24 wpc, which is plenty of SET power for your Blades. I went the website for Art Audio USA, and it looks like the Jota may have been discontinued. If so, I'd look for a used Jota HC.
Daily Audiophile
Yes, that is a convenient sight.
I am sure this has been discussed but want a fresh take. Mapleshade / Timbernation racks?
I like the Salamander Archetype, but I wish that Salamander still made the twin platform (double-wide) Archetype shelf.Personally, I don’t pay much attention to vibration control except with a turntable and loudspeakers. You don’t want your turnta...
The sounds reproduced by KEF Blades are amazing! with Merrill Audio!
KEF makes good products.
Why people says SE is better PP
Single-ended sounds better IMHO, but requires sensitive loudspeakers. One power tube handles the entire wave form.
Art Audio Owners Group
Hi: I would join your Art Audio owners group, but I don't use facebook, or any form of social media. I own a pair of Jota HC monoblocks, and a Jota HC two-channel amplifier, as well. Good luck and best wishes, Jay.
Klipsch!. The worst speaker company, EVER?
This guy likes the Klipsch Heresy.http://www.stevehuffphoto.com/klipsch-heresy-iii-speaker-review-im-floored-and-here-is-why/
Klipsch!. The worst speaker company, EVER?
gawdbless, I heard the latest Forte speakers, and thought they were awful muddy. I heard a vintage pair of corner horns that were nice. The audiophiles that I know wouldn't own any of the current Klipsch line-up. But YMMV.
JBL - almost nothing for sale, why?
Just so you know: JBL isn’t JBL. The brand is now owned by a fly-by-night outfit called Harmon International owned by Samsung. Fly-by-night describes the customer service philosophy of Harmon International.
Klipsch!. The worst speaker company, EVER?
Klipsch is lo-fi these days. The old man made some good stuff once upon a time.
