Opinion on Yamaha Amps
I've had an A-S2000 for 2 years. It replaced Pass XP-10/XA30.5. I prefer it, with the same Tannoy Turnberry speakers I was using with the Pass stuff. 
Bad idea to use pro Tannoy speakers for home use?
I'd be more worried about the Tannoys falling onto the baby or toddler or child than about Magneplanars. I have had SMG, MG12 and MG1.6 around children of all ages. No mishaps. If the Tannoys are very heavy, they could be much more dangerous than ...

Interesting, Foster_9. I also own a Yamaha AS2000, having previously owned all kinds of stuff, going back to 1972 (Scott/AR/KLH), and have never been happier. Using with Tannoy Turnberry. Immediately previous amp/preamp was Pass XA-30.5/XP-10. Man... 
Yamaha A-S2000 - question for owners
I have had one since November. It does the same thing. I assume it is because the tone controls are supposed to be out of the signal path at 12:00.Sound: Pretty good. I prefer it, with Tannoy Turnberry speakers, to a Pass XP-10/XA30.5, which I did... 
Speaker match for MC275
I had an MC275 with Turnberrys. Sounded pretty good until a GL KT88 blew. Why not keep the speakers and replace the amp? 
Pass Labs heatsinks temperature
I have had two XA30.5 amps and I can/could keep my handson the heatsinks for as long as I want/wanted. Not surewhat temperature they actually get/got to, but it definitelyis not as hot as advertised. My hot water heater is setto around 120F and ou...
