Has anyone added a small subwoofer to 2 channel and been thrilled with the result?
This is an interesting thread as I am considering adding one or two to my system because I have a massive dip just below at 180hz which can't be alleviated with speaker placement. My concern is to do with whether or not thee timing will be off

I think Lyngdorf used to, and possibly still do a 'clever' cd player to cope better with compressed recordings - I recall reading it did a great job with the Muse album black holes and revelations in a HiFi plus review years ago.

@larry5729 what on earth. are you on about providing the master tape has not deteriorated old recording methods were much better than they are now

I see the OP has a Lyngdorf TDA 2170 - as I understand it that is a true digital amplifier. Are you running it with room correction?I assume it has the familiar house sound of the TACT - combined with Nordost cables, and the Dynavector phono stage...
