End of lp distortion. What does it sound like
Your new DV cart is a good one. Since its new, start at the upper end of the recommended tracking force - between 2.1-2.2g. See if that helps. When the mint arrives, be patient and dial it in then.
End of lp distortion. What does it sound like
With 'end of LP', do you mean last track near the center of the record? This usually means you need to adjust anti-skate as skating forces are more severe in this area. I would also help to know if the distortion is coming from both channels equal...
Mc Anna , Graham Phantom Tonearm & TW AC3 SYNERGY
I also vote for the TW 10.5 arm. Great arm and synergy with TW tables.
Better Upgrade Path? Better CDP or add a DAC?

DYNAVECTOR XV1T - XV-1T VTF ??
Many audiogoners will tell you that no anti-skate or minimal anti-skate always sounds better. Don't use test discs, use your ears. Glad you are dialing it in and enjoying it. As an XV-1s owner, I'm envious of an XV-1t!!

Think PCosta may be on to something here......
DYNAVECTOR XV1T - XV-1T VTF ??
I agree with Syntax that a normal correction as a cart is broken in is almost always (never absolute) between 0.1 - 0.3 grams. I also agree with Jazdoc that my XV-1s on my tonearm is fantastic at 1.95 grams and dull and lifeless at 2.5 grams. It c...
DYNAVECTOR XV1T - XV-1T VTF ??
I have an XV-1s so its not the same as the XV-1t but should be similar. The first 3-6 months I ran my XV-1s on the heavy side of 2.2 - 2.3 grams as the cart suspension broke in. However, as the sound be came duller and lifeless I transitioned over...
Just listened to The Blue Nile
If you like the Blue Nile, you should pick up the new release, 'Mid-Air' by Paul Buchanan. He's their main songwriter and singer. It's on both CD and vinyl. The vinyl pressing is fantastic.

Tube pre/power combo for Rockport Aviors
Pradeep,Sorry I'm a little late getting in on the responses here, but I just took delivery of an ARC Ref Phono 2 SE and Ref 250 monoblocks. I also have, like you, and TW Acustic analog front end. I must say the Ref 2 SE phono and ref 250 monos are...

Dynavector xv-1s setting question
It is all system dependent but I just can't imagine an XV-1s sounding bright at 2.7g, even if brand new. I'm loading mine at around 400 ohm.
