State of HDCD and SACD
By all indications, 2007 may just be SACD's biggest year. About 2 weeks ago, Sony announced the introduction of the first car SACD players. As for Sony pulling the plug on software, you guys did see the continuation of the BMG Living Stereo series...

Why wait when there're now over 3,500 SACD titles available? BTW, John Mayer's "Room For Squares" SACD is very good.
Another sign SACD is dying
Since my last post on December 1, almost 60 additional SACD titles have been added to sa-cd.net.Today, Sony announced 2 more SACD releases....John Mayer's "Room For Squares" and Switchfoot's "The Beautiful Letdown".
Notice how many SACD collections for sale?
Tbg,Where did you get the 4,000 number from? Just curious. sa-cd.net currently list 3,463 titles, as of 12/06/2005. Assuming another 10% of titles are not listed at that site, that still wouldn't be 4,000 titles.

SACD... is this all there is?

SA-CD/DVD-A?
I agree that both SACD/DVD-A will basically remain audiophile formats, although I do see SACD lasting longer than either DVD-A or DualDisc. DVD-A suffered bad software support from its main supporter, Warner Music. And DualDisc is slipped out of t...
HDCD, any new titles coming out?
Kinda late joining this discussion, but here goes....In response to Gardengirl's response on 09/03/04, Hong Kong Universal is not a HDCD proponent. I am betting that the CDs you have purchased are from mainland China, where everything is "tagged" ...
