Class D is just Dandy!

Erik, thanks for starting this thread. I have been on 'amp' roller coaster for a good while. I agree with most of the guys here, Class D has arrived, IMHO.  

I recently tried couple of Class D amps. While Red Dragon's S500 sounded just 'right' with my 800's, it was Merrill Audio's Veritas that blew me away with their abilities to drive my 800D's. 

Next up, ATI's AT544NC which should be here by end of next week. The amp uses N-Core NC-500 module with custom designed gain stage and linear power supply.  

Bel Canto Ref600M is been on my radar for a while.

     Yes georgehifi, you were definitely the 1st to post here and link info on the eGaN FETS that are used in the new Technics amp.  I recently happened upon an article about the eGaN FETS while on Audiophilereview.com and didn't recall your earlier posts about them. 

My mistake and apologies.  I forgot you've been saving up for this $30,000 class D amp.
