Leaning more towards soul - but not having brought up Curtis Mayfield's Curtis - Live is almost criminal.
Shadorne,

I just fired up "My First Name is Maceo" - bought at your suggestion. That is an unbelievable disc! You get the distinct feeling that that band can play anything - and play it better than anyone else can. And it's not just Maceo, either, it's the whole band. Great, great call.

OTOH, I'm not sure I'd make it through an hour of partying with George Clinton - and that's a problem, because a P-Funk party never stops.

I quite agree - he was the only disappointment (to me) on the entire DVD - thank goodness he only stayed for a couple of tracks. Jamal Thomas on drums was awesome but I think I prefer Dennis Chambers on "Pass the Peas"...good call on your part on that one!

Billy Cobham "Stratus" is now playing in the office.

Hey what did you think of the ultimate drum kit in Traps magazine. I liked the cymbal kit worth 2K.

Billy Cobham "The Pleasant Pheasant" next.
