Metronome CD2V Signature CD Player

I tried a friends Metronome CDV2 Signature and love it compared to a few current CD players that I've heard in my system. Any current or previous CD2V Signature owners that can recommend a current CD player that's better or similar sounding. My price range is 3-4K.
