Need interconnect advice

Good day all. I need to replace our interconnects, and need some feedback from you on your experience. I am looking for cables that will smooth out out a slightly grainy digital source (mid-level DVD), but am also looking for good detail and quiet backgrounds. The amp is an Antique Sound 2x15 integrated (using Svetlana KT-88's), the speakers are Mordaunt Short 2-way monitors, and speaker cables are Audioquest Crystal. I would like to spend no more than $125 for the pair (.5 meter), and the main quality I'm looking for is smoothness, followed by "blackness" and then bass. Please share your experience and thanks for your time!

Thanks for your advice and feedback all. Rcreations, I have been wondering if I should try an IC from the same manufacturer in hopes of system synergy. There are so many avaiable by Audioquest, where to start? Any advice on where to look for discontinued IC product would be appreciated...
A pair of Harmonic Technology TruthLinks (new 249.00 1 meter often discounted; used 150.00 or less) I haven't heard anything substantially better and for the price they are very good smooth cables. Highly recommended and great value.
I also have a spare pair of HT Truthlinks that I use when playing poor quality CD's (mostly older ones). Not quite as detailed as my silver IC's but no slouch in that department either. Very smooth highs and mids with a warm but precise low end. Mine were $135.00 used/shipped at this site. Thanks again Bruce.
If you are interested, I have a few sets of opal 3 lying around, as well as som Ruby 2. both 1m lengths. Email at edward3rd@aol if you are interested. I honestly do not know if they are what you need--AQ is typically a bit more aggressive, but if you want to give it a try......
Do yourself a favor and try Mobile Spec Performance cables. Unfortunately, I don't know where they are sold, but I'm sure that you can find them on the net. An audio engineer here on Audiogon named Sean set me up with a pair to quiet sibilance in my Class A solid state amp. I was amazed at the difference. Just what you need to smooth grain and reduce glare. I now use them on my tube gear as well. Best $15 bucks I ever spent. Yes, you heard right. $15 per pair. I use my old Kimbers to stake tomato plants now. If you don't like them, hell, you're only out a couple bucks.
