Tonearm for VPI HW MkIII

Hi, I'm contemplating a step up from my current (very forgettable) tonearm. The choices are between an Origin Live modified RB300, ET2 (although I hear it's a realy pain in the upkeep department) and the JMW arm from VPI. Is the VPI arm really that much better than anything else in that price range? Thanks for the response

I OWN A VPI-19-MK111 WITH A ET-2 ARM. THE ET-2 IS VERY COMPLEX TO SET UP, BUT ONCE IT IS DONE IT IS AS EASY AS ANY OTHER ARM TO MAINTAIN. I HAVE NOT HEARD ANY OF THE NEWER ARMS . I'VE HAD MY ET-2 FOR SIX YEARS AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS TO SPEAK OF. S
I have the VPI JMW Memorial Tonearm on my VPI mk4 turntable and Ilove it. I upgraded from an Audioquest PT6 arm, and it was the most significant upgrade that I have ever made [and I have made a lot of upgrades]. If you get one you will not regret it. It is a beautiful tonearm.
Now that the JMW is going through an upgrade (to version 10.5), it is being heavily discounted. I saw a couple of advertisers selling it new for $1299 or thereabouts. Hope this helps.
