As we are in the modern age of music I thought I would see how this fares. We have threads specific for cdp and tt so why not streaming as it is a modern media. I don't care if you stream Tidal, Deezer, Spotify, Paradise Radio or any number of internet stations. I would like you to share your tastes and method of streaming.
@uberwaltz - Thanks for the reminder brother. I'm listening to "This Desert Life" now. Been a while and it's a dandy. I only have it on CD. I don't love the SQ, but I love the songs. And that's good enough for me.....
Been a real bad week so far. Hectic work days and nearly as depressing evenings trying to sort issues out over the internet with other customers. But tonight we have a bit of time for some music.
Just finished practicing 8 Brocades Qi Gong & 24 form Yang Tai Chi while listening to Traditional Chinese Music of the South Changjiang River Valley via U Tube...
udog; a server streamer via a DAC would give you better results. CDs that have been FLAC ripped to my Antipodes sound better than albums that reside on an outboard HDD connected by USB to the Antipodes. Premium Tidal sounds as good as the ripped CDs. To me, all of these options sound better than Audivarna and Tidal via iMac. There are some great server/streamers around atm. Have a look at John Darkos site. He does good factual reviews. I hope this helps.
Antipodes DS server/streamer via Denafrips Pontus DAC and listening to Blind Melon's eponymous debut CD and Paul Kelly's Gossip CD which have been FLAC ripped to the Antipodes. Also stream Tidal via same and love that!
Well tonight I'm steaming salmon, ginger, garlic, chili, pok choy and then top it up with just enough soy sauce from Megachef - did I misunderstood the thread?? Inspired by another thread here I loaded my Cowboy Junkies playlist, shoot down all electric light and went in to candle light mode.Have anice Monday guys.Mike
With that being said I could not even be bothered to find an album I wanted to play. So just chose Indie Naptime playlist from the moods relax section of tidal.
Some good artists in there so just let it play for 1 hour and 23 minutes.
Nice cuts there Ghosthouse. Not sat down all day been a glorious 72 degrees here in Florida today which means tackle all those outdoor jobs I have been putting off! New sprinklers in lawn, new edges around features, cut down 4 trees etc. Ready for some r&r now though.
I would probably use Pandora more if my older tv's recognized that Pandora plus is ad free! Been listening to Pandora as casual listening for years and years.
