uberwaltz A quick comment about Dire Straits’ Communique. I remember that one taking some time to appreciate vs what seemed at the time the much stronger S/T debut. However, over the years, Communique gets played more often and in particular the last two tracks: Single-Handed Sailor and Follow Me Home...great music, great sonics. IMO, everything you need to know about DS in 10 and half minutes.
FWIW - re Supertramp, there were weeks after it first came out that Even in the Quietest Moments was getting played every night and often more than once. |

Hey! I was 16 in 1976 too! Good times, good times........ |
I’m using an Auralic Aries and Vega to stream from my QNAP NAS. Right now l’m listening to the Four Tops (aiff 192/24 purchased on line). I was a teen in the 60’s and grew up not too far from Detroit, on the Canadian side. CKLW was the big MoTown station and I still love that music. |

Yea They never really tapped into the same magic ever again unfortunately.

uberwaltz - I agree wholeheartedly about that S/T/ Boston debut. What a great record. It was good then; 42 years later, it's still good.
(Time flies) |
Boston, self titled debut album. Even after all this time from its 1976 release I still find it to have a fresh feel. |
Can be hard to find MQA only on tidal as they refuse to clump them all together to make it easy. Do you see a "master's" tab? Masters means MQA. I see that tab on tidal phone app through my Bluesound Vault. |
I have been having trouble finding mqa offerings on Tidal recently. I don't get the "Whats New" screen on my desktop, ipad or android phone apps. Anybody know how to get to the mqa stuff? Thanks,
