What to use if I just want one cleaning fluid?

I'm willing to consider distilled water as a post cleaning rinse fluid (g). But if I'm going to use a VPI cleaner for my disks, and I want to use just one over-the-counter fluid to clean both new and old records in an acceptably effective manner, what should I use?

For 20 years I've been using a wash developed for me by a chemist who worked for the same company I did.

Something you mix at home? Care to share the formula with us?
What percent dilution of isopropyl do you use, Jeff? We have both 70% and 99% here at home.
Jeff, I appreciate the formula.

I do believe 99% vs. 70% isopropyl alcohol would change the ratio so that one would use less than one pint per gallon-minus-one-pint of water. You might confirm this with your chemist friend...or not. We can all easily use the 70% ispopropyl called for in your formula and move on. This isn't brain surgery.

Thanks again.
