Oh man, ozzy, Quicksilver's version of "Pride Of Man" (a Hamilton Camp song) is KILLER! They were good live too, one of the best SF bands of the late-60's. |
A couple of young singer song writers. Shakey Graves and Tyler Childers. Needed a break from the blues binge I’ve been on.

I watched the Brian Setzer Orchestra’s Christmas Extravaganza on TV. Pretty darn cool! Setzer is still not much of a singer, but his guitar playing is great, and his tone is awesome---nothing like a Gretsch White Falcon plugged into a vintage blonde Fender! |
JS Bach Weihnachtsoratorium, under Nikolaus Harnoncourt, streamed from Qobuz, the European 16/44 streaming service. It is my favourite performance, and the excellent sound quality does it full justice.

Interestingly enough, the very thing I love about these music threads... your post just reminded me that I wanted to clean my copy of Mannasas this weekend. Thanks! From that, I’ll sneak in a (tune of the day) here...
"Black Queen" off his S/T lp. He is one of the great guitar players that really don't get the attention, IMO.
