Harman Kardon 3380 integrated amp - any love?

Any love for the Harman Kardan 3380 integrated 2 channel amp? I bought one after seeing that these were supposed to be "special" designs that harkened back to ye olde golden age in a world rapidly approaching total home theatre multi-channel assimilation.

I ran two different sets of speakers with this HK3380...some old advent legacy that never sounded good with anything and a set of bose 301 that actually did sound OK.

I am thinking of using this HK3380 for a full range Castle mini tower project I am building.

Any tweaks for this unit that are work the money?

Ha!!!
I had a HK integrated amp wayyyy back in the 80’s but as that was a decade long buzz I don't recall the model #...Running Yamaha 3 way monitors & the new at the time Marantz CD-63...Sounded pretty damn fine if I remember..
Owned the 3380 almost 15 years ago.  Did not think that it displayed any resemblance to the classic HK receivers of the 70s & 80s.

OK performer.  My unit was shorted and went up in smoke literally, when two speaker cables accidentally touched. It was not the equal of a NAD 320BEE I purchased to replace this amp, when the amp was fried.

As a receiver, this unit is totally outclassed by the Outlaw RR2161.
