So you’re proposing shielding the satellite from the very signals it requires to function? That doesn’t sound like a very good idea. The satellite signals are very directional so there are no other radio signals to worry about. Even the uplink and downlink frequencies for each satellite are separated for that very reason, so as not to interfere. As are all satellite uplinks and downlinks separated from each other in frequency. Spectrum management. There is no significant threat from space junk even though there is an enormous amount of it.
