I heard them Friday at RMAF and thought they sounded quite good. They are able to reproduce treble in a manner that gets the detail an clarity of the music without sounding over emphasized and bright, which I found to be an issue with 90% of the other speakers on display.
They also reproduce bass with clarity and control, and without boominess.
On Friday, I thought the mids had some boxiness at times. At one point near the end of the day when the room was empty except for myself, a friend, and the two gentlemen from Tidal. We were making a return trip to the room, and the guys recognized us. One of the Tidal owners (I'm assuming he was the owner...maybe not...) commented that they were quite frustrated with the sound they were getting due to the hotel room. At that point, they had not installed much in the way of room correction acoustic tweaks. Although he did not address the midrange boxiness specifically, I wonder if this was one of the problems to which he was referring.
