Hasselblad 503CW or Bronica SQ-Ai
I am a professional photographer as well and agree with Marco (Jax2). I too use Hasselblad, own all the lenses from 40 MM to 180 MM. I love my Hasse when people request medium format, but if asked what camera I would rather shoot (for my own use) ...
Digital as good or better than YOUR analog?
I do not claim the Sony 9000 is a perfect CD player, only that for $700.00 it was pretty darned good and was preferred in listening tests over more expensive players by members of my audio group. That doesn't mean there may not be a $400.00 player ...
Got iPod, how to hook up?
Your description sounds like a mismatch between the player and your preamp. You did not say how you had this hooked up, I'm assuming you have a cable that came with the Apple that will plug into the preamp of your stereo.
"Telefunken ECC88 RFT made, 1960's in AI M3A?
I have not tried this tube, but I believe the RFT is not Telefunken. It IS a RFT, which is another brand all together. There are many copies of Telefunken, some made in East Germany that are similar but do not offer the same performance.A few years...
Digital as good or better than YOUR analog?
Since I'm already posting here. No, my digital is not as good as my analog rig and I have had two dozen players that I purchased or were loaned to me to make the test. Heck, in the beginning I waited in anticipation for each new "upgrade" to arriv...

Speaker stands w/ 10" x 10" top plate?
Sound Anchor will custom build stands for your speakers at a very fair price. http://www.soundanchors.com/Check out his amp stands too. I have been using his products for many years and have always been pleased by the quality and cost to performan...
AudioPrism Quiet Lines
Agree with Brauser, I also have at least eight, maybe more. The effect is subtle but they do remove some background noise and interference from other household electric's as well as some radio frequency noise. Just as important as helping, Quiet L...
The importance of azimuth
Dougdeacon. I think Bob's post was describing the Audioquest as a electronic rather than mechanical tool.I found this on a German web site about the Wallytractor;http://www.simplyblack.net/When the site opens, click on: Wallys Vinyl corner and on ...
The importance of azimuth
Bob, agreed! Since the Audioquest is no longer made, could you offer one for sale? The question is sincere, I just don't know what was inside the Audioquest or how difficult the task to reconstruct one.
Too many tubed components in the system?
Good idea Jafox, I'll check into that ;^ )
Too many tubed components in the system?
Everything in my system is tube, except for the DVD player. I just counted 114 and NO, not too many.
Who's the Cadillac of Hi-End Audio?
If I had to guess what was the most reliable automobile made, I would guess either Toyota or Honda. This based what I have read and heard over several years, plus my personal experience of having owned one Toyota and six Honda's.I have also owned ...
Who's the Cadillac of Hi-End Audio?
I'm leasing a new GMC Yukon and for $326.00 month there was absolutely nothing else I could find that had the ability to carry, tow and drive in it's class for that money. I have zero experience with Cadillac, it would never work for my photograph...
The importance of azimuth
It was with difficult with the Graham, in fact it often took two or three days to "sneak up" on the settings because the rubber parts in the counterbalance stored energy and would move over time. These changes occurred within a few minutes to as l...
