Smooth Jazz Freak needs New Artists
Michael Franks is cool.
Best object in your listening room.
Pictures of my kids.
Bob Dylan's Modern Times, a new Masterpiece?
I've listened to it about 10 times so far which IMO is far too little for any final evaluation. However, at this moment I feel Highway 61, Blonde on Blonde, and Blood on the Tracks are better.Everybody has their opinion on Dylan's best as evidence...
Classical Football background Music
I recall a compact disc called "The Power and the Glory" which featured music from the NFL film series. That probably isn't much help but it may be a starting point for you.Good luck.
Anyone else evolve beyond tubes?
Tvad's right. Andy is OCD with his products. I'd also love a crack at the "junk" bin.
Are NBS cables are sound better than Nordost ?
Lenox says:"Valhalla is the only cable who can let you hear the highest resolution".I vigorously disagree with this. There are a handful of interconnects from PAD, Stealth, Jena, Prana, etc. which are clearly superior to this overrated product. Ho...
Bob Dylan's Modern Times, a new Masterpiece?
Actually it's thiry years. Last time was 1976 with "Desire".
Bob Dylan finally makes sense....
Nrchy,Good comments. I've been collecting music since the late 1950's. I still purchase many of the newest releases including the stuff from Dylan, Gabriel, Young et.al. Much of the current music from older artists is excellent; some even exceeds,...
Anyone else evolve beyond tubes?
OK Newbee perhaps I misunderstood. That being said doesn't 50% failure speak to an incredibly flawed design and/or quality control process? Imagine if US automobiles (oops bad example) or politicians (oops another one) or audio reviewers (ditto) p...
Bob Dylan finally makes sense....
Easy Nrchy. If you're directing your vitriole at me, you need to read a bit more carefully. I never said stop doing it and/or questioned the relevancy. BTW, personal attacks are unnecessary.Try decaf at the Gordon Lightfoot concert. Maybe he can h...
Anyone else evolve beyond tubes?
I frankly have trouble believing Snook2's claim of a 50% failure rate. I've owned and listened to tubed gear for over 45 years. During that time many many tubes have worn out. We expect that. However, I can count the tubes that have failed prematu...
Bob Dylan finally makes sense....
Jsonic makes a good point. For whatever reasons, many musicians and their work are looked upon as something sacred. Wasn't one of the original intents of the music to make money? Yeah I know, artists don't care about money. BS!! The title of the t...
Compliance & Efffective Mass Question
Go to the "Phono FAQ" at the van den Hul website here:http://www.vandenhul.nl/for everything you need to know including a cartridge/arm resonance chart near the end of the section. It's a ton of reading but a great resource as well. It's the most c...

Review on the Tyler Acoustics Lynbrook Signature's
"It does look intimidating". I'm not sure what the point is here. You need to understand that physical dimensions of a speaker have absolutely NO correleation with efficiency/sensitivity/amplifier requirements. Zip, nada, none.
