| Will there be a Puppy 8 soon My series 2's___ One speaker got dinged with a forklift so I have one speaker sitting here 'resting'; waiting for a 'mate'.--I can tell you, this is one lonely speaker. They did change the screws that attach the drivers and they now look better w/o... | |
| What do you use to CLEAN audio equipment CASES? My less complicated method is 'glass plus' --- Lightly spray a clean white cotton cloth, not the component. Then turn the cloth to dry--- Gets rid of finger prints and light grease. | |
| Most Overated Floor Standing Speaker Up to 15KPair I was going to add this to my original post but I was late. My Sophia's took at least 2 months of 24/7 to get there. I can tell you bass is not their shortcoming; once they have enough hours on them. (like so many things) | |
| How to . . . . ? I keep 2 pairs of ic's in place. They are different brands,so one pair for HT out of the processor's 'fronts'.one pair out of my pre,for 2ch. My amps are on the floor so switching is easy. | |
| Most Overated Floor Standing Speaker Up to 15KPair As the owner of Sophia speakers I don't think they qualify, here. Like any speaker,it might not float everybody's boat but they do reproduce near the full spectrum. At "this" price range the Merlins MM's I owned for 4 or 5 months were quite a few h... | |
| Will there be a Puppy 8 soon I just took delivery of a pair of series 2's. My dealer is a long time Wilson dealer and I did ask---He says the 8's are just a "net-rumor". So unless your uncle "is" David Wilson;the talk is just that, talk. | |
| What happened to Dekay??? Thanks for that info,Kel.--I too thought they might be 1/in the same. Dekay is from the LA area? yes? I really miss Carl_E (((Not))) and where's Slappy?? | |
| Philips stopped transports? I own a Philips 985 recorder. An $800 purchase and the worst co.service to go along with the worst player.AVS forum is full of complaints similar to mine /re. Philips.I don't mind if they make transports for other co's---as long as the other co wo... | |
| Why so many amplifiers for sale? When you go to amplifiers there are usually 1,000 or more for sale---If you were shopping for an amp; you would prefer a much smaller number??? I guess fewer choices would be better, huh? I have 4 amps to sell but don't know which one to sell; now ... | |
| Speaker on its side as a center? Well if I actually had one and was in your situation I would have already tried it.---I wouldn't need anybody's permission.---I mean, how bad can it be?? Stick it on something like a coffee table or a box the size you need and give a try. Then deci... | |
| Wilson Sophia Happy Holidays back at 'cha, David, (and to everyone). Does your son have his system up and running, yet?? | |
| Wilson Sophia Thanks to having a nice dealer.---They are closed today but Brooks left me a message and I should have no problems. I've dealt with him for years;but---I never had anything like this happen.A nick like this that is below the surface would look lik... | |
| Break-in for Resolution Audio Opus 21. All cd players need 24/7 for at least a week to 10 days to sound good. (cd on repeat, while connected to pre.) | |
| Audio Physics ...Bright or forward? You never mention--"how many miles,on 'em?" Most all new speakers need at least 2 months of 24/7 before a final judgement, yes? | |
| Wilson Sophia Well the 2's got here. They have damage. It appears(or looks like) a skill saw cut to the crate. Dead straight, vertical, 3 or 4 inches long and 1/4 ,wide.(i.e.,a slot, like a ballot box) This cut left splinters on the inner side. A splinter nicked... |
