| Power Cord Burn-In Scottht,Many would say that with two daughters, you already have the best stereo you can find. My brother has three daughters...tri-amping at its finest. All the best to you and your family,Howard | |
| Power Cord Burn-In No money to burn in my house, Scottht. Just no debt, no kids, cheap rent, and a wife who can't wait to upgrade to the biggest, baddest pair of speakers she can find. In addition, we have an English Mastiff and a Jack Russell who regularly insist t... | |
| Comparison of Tube Output CD Players Saki70,No I can't, as I have not used it that way. This was how it was explained to me by another Prima owner who also had the Capitole. If it cannot be used in that capacity--that is, without a preamp--I apologize for his and/or my misinformation... | |
| Comparison of Tube Output CD Players Thanks Trelja, for the comments.I agree with your assessment of the Capitole, and I absolutely love the sound of the Prima. I think that what often gets confused for 'natural' and 'accurate' is really the music being pushed forward by the componen... | |
| Which of these power cords is best? Hi5harry,If you want to hear an even bigger difference with your system, try the Wolff source cord. The gain was undoubtedly noticeable (just as Michael suggested), but the source cord was monumental. After four days, it opened up and the sound be... | |
| Which of these power cords is best? In my experience, the Michael Wolff's were by far the best cable I've tried. Get one on home audition and see how it does in your system. His source cord made more of a difference in my system than ANYTHING else I've done. No kidding. | |
| Upgrade from Jolida JD-100A I bought an Audio Aero Prima, and I love it. Thank you for all of the valuable input. | |
| Comparison of Tube Output CD Players Wow 496,Sorry it's taken me so long to respond. I don't do audiospeak very well, but here goes:The Prima is not far off the Capitole, and IMO does not justify the price difference. However, it's like comparing the Western Electric 300B tubes to an... | |
| Power Cord Burn-In Scottht,I should mention the three cords we tested, as I noticed that you have one of them in your system:SignalVan Den HulMichael WolffA large variance in price, and equally so in performance. All the best,Howard | |
| Power Cord Burn-In The answer, Scottht, is YES. I did blind tests on my Jolida JD-100A with three different PC's, and all three people listening agreed that while one of the cords was more open than another, a third (a Michael Wolff carbon PC) made everything sound ... | |
| Review: Klipsch RF-7 Speaker By the way, Mechans, I am using a 7W 300B SET amp with my La Scala's, and they literally vibrate the house. There is more bass impact than there was with the Jolida 502B (60WPC) or Quicksilver Mini Monos (25WPC). If you think I'm joking, contact m... | |
| Review: Klipsch RF-7 Speaker You might check out the Wright Sound Mono 3.5's. If you look under the 'Wanted' section here, there are several being offered, and they are magical with the horns. A true bargain in the audio world. | |
| Review: Klipsch RF-7 Speaker I've heard the RF-7's at great length, with two different SET amps as well as the Quicksilver Horn Mono's. Nice speaker, but it cannot come close to the transparency and imaging of the older Klipsch. With a good 2A3 or 300B SET amp, the vintage La... | |
| How's this for a dose of reality??? Get me a date with Nicole Kidman, and I promise I'll find the answer on her somewhere. | |
| Help resolve a 2-into-1 system dilemma Thanks for the correction. Maybe MY name should be distortion. |
