Audio research LS26 pre amp
My dad has the ARC LS16, checked out the LS26 then bought the Ref 3 wich will be installed in a week, the 26 is no slouch but he splurged for the ref 3. 
Phase switch on pre amp use?
It is fine to play with it and is meant to be experimented with, on Classical sometimes it may be desired....thats my experience, many times you cant really hear a change. In short it is nothing to be scared about.

Another silly peeve, when your in a store and listening to music conversation or something triggers a thought of a song or performance you want to hear and didnt bring, many stores have hundreds of disc's and albums scatered about but in a big pil...

Md, I was going to suggest exactly what Jeff D. offered you, I just did this to my fathers rig wich formerly had a large projection unit flanked by matching AV racks. We installed a Salamander Low boy rack and wall mounted a 58in Plasma....what a ...

What I dont care for are people who contact you to sell you something based on reading what you post in private, like trolling for a sale....I dont agree with it and some times it may actually be a breach of dealer network agreements.

Vandersteen 3a sig vs. Paradigm studio 100
If you like the Vandy sound it might be a risk to go to the hotter sound of Paradigm, as I said earlier you could find it a fatiguing speaker in comparison.

Vandersteen is a much smoother performer, the Paradigm has it fans and is a great speaker but is no doubt an easier speaker to have problems with fatigue. With the 3A and the Vandy sub combo you have pretty much a Quatro wich is a speaker you coul... 
Integated amps with phono?
If you remember the DK Design it is a tube hybrid Int amp with a MM phono stage, I know 2 guys who have them and it sounds pretty good, 150w at 8 and 300 w at 4 ohms, I think they hover around $1500.
