Some noise issues with my new VPI Prime
Fairly recently I had buzz that I thought coming from amp. When I brought it to my lab, there was no buzz when connected and hooked up. I literally checked all of my main system components, but it turned out the light bulb that was buzzing very lo...
Is it a OK to leave tube pre-amps powede up 24/7
1. transistors in most class A/B and class D amps don't and there are many class A/B amps that don't run hot.2. I've repaired tube equipment with burned circuit board around blown tube more than once and for me one is too many anyways.Old saying s...
Is it a OK to leave tube pre-amps powede up 24/7
1. tubes dissipate heat that dries out electrolytic caps. 2. occasionally blown tube can blow other circuit components or even set circuit board on fire. _______________________tubes worm up a lot faster than transistors and caps 'fill up' with ch...

Is it a OK to leave tube pre-amps powede up 24/7
Short answer is NO with any model. Not only it's unsafe, but it's useless waste of tubes and other circuit components as well. It's a huge tax on component longevity.

Can you leave class D amps on and not ever turn them off?
Transistors live longer when they're always ON.They have life of up to 60k hours when ON and much shorter than OFF.Electrolytic caps also benefit from being always ON except if under high temperatures. Leaving on even clas A/B amp isn't a problem ...

phusis231 posts11-11-2016 10:15pmCheap Chinese cabinets. As for overpricing, since there are a lot of people who don't earn but make a lot of money, why not try and cash in, Danes and others think ? They play 'the stupid and ignorant' card, an...
Leave amps on?
Some of amps OK to be on, some of amps not OK. For me it's not OK to leave tube amp on if not used and so is for solid state class A amp as well. It will decrease their operational time by very very far. It's OK to keep clas A/B amps on again as lo...
