Believers VS. nonbelievers???? GEEzzzzz
Thanks Ka, but I think there's always hope (:
Amps and Women
Great post, but would the males not also be in need of an early warning system when out hunting and gathering? I suppose you suggest, that women, being forced to live more passive, needed an even more finely honed hearing acuity, compared to the m...
Believers VS. nonbelievers???? GEEzzzzz
Great post Albert and I agree Jostler, that peddling pseudo science does Audiophilia a great diservice. But as I pointed out in another thread, there is a similar diservice being done, by what I call scientific arrogance. The world abounds with ph...
Blind Listening Evaluation
Jostler, although we often agree to disagree, both posts show your usual excellent reasoning: Short and to the point Kudos to you.
Magnepan vs Quad
I think, she had a point aboput the endcaps. Its truly a pity that they went cheapo there!
Honesty of the Reviewers
Plato, I find this an excellent and well considered post and have voted accordingly. I've followed the "history of reviewing in the then underground mags" practically from its beginning and hence know, how raving mad manufacturers can get, even wi...
Honesty of the Reviewers
If I resist the temptation to generalise and/or am able to successfully combat "paranoid" tendencies, which would lead me to bedevil the entire breed, I've through (much) time and experience learnt to trust those reviewers - not in their judgement...

I still own a Threshold Stasis 2, stemming from the time, before Threshold was taken over by some Japanese conglomerate. If I remember correctly, the young Nelson Pass was the designer and owner of Threshold then. Unfortunatedly I don't have the l...
Blind Listening Evaluation

Jadis Defy 7 MkIV w/ KT 90's tweeks
Duh, George, got it now...thanks, by the way, I think its spelled "cojones".
Magnepan vs Quad
Sorry about that, LjGj, what was it, that she didn't like about it? Was it too big, too black? I think its a very good point to bring in and to consider, when hunting for a new speaker system.
Jadis Defy 7 MkIV w/ KT 90's tweeks
Hi George, apart from that fact, that you are right about the punch of the Defy, come to think of it, I don't know how to spell "coxones" either. Perhaps some kind soul will enlighten us. But that is not he point of my post: What do you mean with ...
