The year is 1986
My first year college was '86. I had an all Technics system with Genesis speakers. Loved it for what it was.
Ayre AX-5 Integrated Amplifier
I wish I had the cake for the Ax-5 but I don't find it any better than the Hegel H200 except for build quality. Seriously.
Best integrated amp for Harbeth SHL5s
I own c7es3's and was running a Rogue Cronus Magnum for a few years. Now it's a Hegel H200. You should check out the Hegel H200 or H300 if you need a DAC. The reviews speak for themselves. I too enjoyed the Ayre but it needed more oomph.
Hegel h300 or Krell S550i or Music Fidelity M6500i
All three integrateds are top notch. I would choose the Hegel but would consider the H200 if you don't need the DAC.
Sjofen The Clue speakers
What do you think gives this speaker the ability to sound so good so close to a wall? The specs say 2.5" of front wall. That's an attribute that could sell a ton of speakers. We see the question of what speakers work well placed close to a wall on...

Rembering the 80s: College Rock
There was a lot of great music and a lot of bad music in the 80's. Just like the 60's and 70's. Joe Walsh, Supertramp, The Clash, Iron Maiden, Elvis Costello and a ton of others. I'm not saying these bands got their start in the 80's but had some ...
Rogue Sphinx
I would like to add that I think Rogue would have technical details regarding this. The manufacturer of my amp was able to tell me that my volume moves up and down in one db increments.
Rogue Sphinx
Okay, I got you now. Then it was the same one they were using in most of their gear. I had a Cronus Magnum which is a great integrated, but the slightest tap of the volume on the remote moved it up and down more than I would have liked. It wasn't ...
Rogue Sphinx
Hi Daniel. I can't directly answer your question but if you spoke to Rogue and they said it will work, then it will work. I've dealt with Rogue. These guys answer the the phone themselves on the second ring. The last thing they want is to get a ca...
