Jeff Rowland Model 1 info
This is really interesting! I have one M1 that is around SN 1450 and runs pretty hot - but can keep my hand on it when running. I have another that is around SN 1250 and runs much hotter and I can barely keep my hand on it. They are both running i...
Clear Day Cables Speaker Cables
Totally agree - not even a though of needing to upgrade my double shotguns - in addition, given that the JRDG M1s are a little dark it has added some life to the amps.
Clear Day Cables Speaker Cables
I recently added a pair of shotguns being driven by my Rowland model 1. I have about 250 hours on them. Everything improved! As others have stated, Paul is a great guy to deal with.

What is the projected stereo power rating of an unbridged 725?
Rowlands
I am a software developer of limited funds, but yet wanting Rowland equipment/sound. My approach to solving the problem has been to acquire a Bridgeable Model 1 (obviously not enough power yet), and am now looking for a second, bridgeable Model 1....

Hotmailjbc - same result with my DIY. Sounds like a new system.Craig
Most Beneficial Cable Upgrade
It is like everyone has said for eons on the Gon. System matching is everything. The Pangea AC-9 sounded great on my Proceed AMP 3 and awful on my Rowland Model 1. Who knows what impact the rest of the chain had (pre, speakers, cable, etc.).My nex...
Most Beneficial Cable Upgrade
It is interesting, but I wonder if it is more that the Pangea is wrong for the Rowland than it is that my PC is something special. More experimentation is needed.
Most Beneficial Cable Upgrade
Great thread. I myself had been somewhat of a power cable skeptic until recently. I had bought a Pangea AC-9 after hearing that it may smooth out harshness in some amps. It did that to a small degree in my proceed AMP 3. When I finally got my hand...
NAD M55 Display brightness
Yup, display is dim, but it sure does sound great on Redbook.
Surround Processor better than a Proceed AVP?
I use the M15 mainly for two channel stereo via the analog bypass inputs (7.1 inputs). In this mode it sounds fantastic feeding my Rowland Model One. In my current setup I run my modified Kenwood Kt7550 into the 7.1 inputs using Morrow MA1s. The s...
How strong is the NAD M15 2 channel performance?
I am using an M15 to feed my Rowland Model 1. For two channel stereo I use the 7.1 inputs which completely bypass all the internal processing of the M15. In the mode the sound quality is outstanding. Very neutral with width and depth to the sound ...
Help, Strange Static Sound Recurring
To the question about model 1 noise: I just got one and it is dead silent.
Jeff Rowland Model 1 info
Early on in my listening to the Rowland Model One - but WOW! Air and detail to spare and smoother and much better bass on my speakers than my proceed amp 3 (not bad either though). Using a heavily modified Kenwood Kt-7500 tuner as my main source (...

I just bought a model 1 on AudioGoN and will report here as to how it works out. My plan is to eventually get a second one and run the pair bridged.
