What's happened to the used high end market recently?? Sales are tough....:0(
The example above is just one and not the rule. Used stuff is selling for 25% - 30% of retail, not 83%. Even then it sits. I know because I buy and sell stuff all the time. No more however due to the comments I have already made.Tekton is one of t...

HEA, in general,  has NOT delivered on its reason for being defined as -  providing the means for enjoying our music fully and with complete contentment. HEA delivers on some well recorded stuff, but in general has not delivered what we want and d...

Agreed John. This is not a matter of argument and just a statement of the facts as they are.  High end is changing and for the good in my estimation.  Now is paying $10,000 for $40,000 speakers that reviewed very highly is a fair market price? Tho...
What used speakers raraely come up for sale
Silverline Bolero speakers  are rare and wonderful. Perfectly musical and the kind of speaker that one can stay contented with.  I miss mine.

Few have purchased and sold as much as me on this site since it started many years ago. Stuff is just not moving in general and prices are at all time lows. It is a clear reflection of our changing hobby. High End Audio as we have known it is inde...
Who has Luv for the Lyngdorf 2170 and is thinking about the 3400.
I noticed this on another piece of gear several years ago. My TRL Dude tube preamp. It sounded better with the top off. No kidding. So far I think the 2170 does also. I will evaluate over the next week. Sometimes the initial impression is not last...

Tweak idea for you 2170 owners that improves the sound. More open and improved soundstage. Take the top off. Yup, take the top off.  See what you think Agoners. I tried it all day today. I like what I hear. Got the idea from Michael Green.

I know a dealer for Lyngdorf who told me the 3400 is better in every way sonically and feature wise.  He is very excited about the 3400 and has been selling the 2170 for some time loving the 2170. I trust his ears and comments as he turned me onto...
Talk but not walk?
The tube amp referred to is not point to point wired and all the components are certainly affixed pretty darn tightly to those boards. I much prefer point to point wired tube amps sonically. I looked at internal pics. If one does not glue, or bolt...

I also want to know more about “freeing” the capacitor? You can’t mean allowing it to vibrate freely? Next to other caps and parts that are loose and perhaps leading to a short? I find well damped caps sound better, not worse? I get the wood block...
JAM by Duelund
No, I only used them in crossovers and on the output of a digital amp....parallel position where it acted as a filter.

Well part of this is the fact that great sound can be had with products costing far less such as Tekton speakers, Class D amps, digital powered DACs and making your own audio cables.   DIY is on the increase for sure. Many of us have just said en...
Does anybody not like Roon...based on SQ only?
Roon is wonderful and has exceeded my expectations both in SQ and features.
