Primaluna Dialogue Premium HP Driving PSB Imagine T2s
Maplegrove, Austinbob, and Samzx, Thank you so very much.  I really enjoyed the info on types of speakers you've tried and Samzx's tube rolling adventures.  I am salivating.  Midlife crisis?  I'm now 42 and can afford this stuff.  I'm going to go ...

Maplegrove,  Do you have firsthand experience with the Primaluna products?  Can you shoot me some example(s) of what you have experienced with it driving loudspeakers and the results?  I would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you everyone!  I'm going to call Kevin right away. Ditching the Creek is certainly an option.  I spent a good bit of cash on it and the Ruby DAC ($600) so I really don't want to but it may be necessary. The idea of having one box is one I li...

Great idea!  I will see if I can get in touch with Kevin right away. My PSBs are 90dB sensitive.   Crossover: 4th-order Linkwitz-Riley at 500Hz and 1.8kHz. Frequency response: 34Hz–23kHz, ±3dB (on axis); 36Hz–20kHz, ±1.5dB, (on axis); 36Hz–10kHz ...
worst sounding great lps
I agree and think it's sad that Derek and the Dominoes, Born to Run, and Exile are not great sounding.  Each of these sounds muddy and veiled to me.  I disagree on Queen.  Most of their stuff was superbly recorded--at least to my ears.
From a Close Minded Audiophile--Sumiko S5 Subwoofer Helps
I will look into a software setup solution to ensure most precise and proper setup. That's a good, inexpensive idea. I'm not using a true crossover.  The Speakon setup (heavily promoted by REL/Sumiko) allows my floorstanders to function as normal....
Visit to Magnolia Proves Interesting
ohlala, I agree.  I'm not so seasoned at this hobby because--for many years--I didn't have funds to really do much.  I bought a pair of Monitor Audio bookshelf monitors in 1997 (I was 24).  I ran them through a Denon receiver as a preamp and a Car...
Visit to Magnolia Proves Interesting
I forget which Martin Logan speakers I demoed. It was an electrostatic pair with a powered bass driver. They sounded great.  Really nice soundstage and airy feel to Mudd and highs. I definitely liked them. No boxiness to the sound. The Magnolia st...
Opinions on Upgrade Path
I've wandered down the rabbit hole of looking at phono preamp out stats. Good lord!
Opinions on Upgrade Path
Thank you!Great advice. It does seem like a phono pre upgrade would be the most inexpensive way to go here.  I will look at that Creek and I'll look at some others.  I've always wondered whether the Graham Slee stuff would be an upgrade. Maybe bi-...
How can it be that some old recordings sound sublime?
Today I got a copy of Bill Evans’, Sunday at the Village Vanguard. Wow. This sounds amazing--not to mention it is just brilliant music all around. The recording made me think that my system is just fine--if not fantastic (for me). I’ve been critic...
Possible Amp (or integrated) upgrade from Creek Evolution 100A
Room size is 13'w by 23' l by 9'3" high.  I have wood floors and an area rug covering 11 x 19 of the room.
Anyone in Chicagoland interested in A-B listening our respectively owned speakers?
Sense63,Absolutely!I am out of town the next week. I'd be happy to drive out.  What kind of speakers are you listening to these days?
Explanation for Class G amplifier heat differences between phono source & others?
Thanks Kijanki!  I'll watch it closely to see if I made a mistake in my observations.
Where is the weakest link in my system?
Jafant,I'm using generic cabling.   For the loudspeakers, I'm using good quality in-wall 14gauge wire from monoprice.  The digital coaxial cable is some $20 model.  My turntable has the original Roksan tonearm wire--it's DIN to RCA and not thin ju...
