Speakers that reveal bad recordings? Not for me.
The recording is what it is. A bad recording is not the speaker's fault. That's what signal processors like dynamic range expanders tone controls, and equalizers are for, to make a lesser recording sound better.

I have a $40 Philips stereo CD/radio alarm clock that really doesn't sound bad...it competes with a Bose Wave radio...honestly. It really sounds quite good with a pair of Realistic Nova 45 headphones (a classic great value in their own right) that...
Class A Amp
I remember drawing similar conclusions as Tvad regarding driving low impedance loads when researching the Moscode.

What 2.8 Ohm load speaker specifically? If the load varies widely by frequency around a 2.8 ohm average spec, then I'm thinking any tube amp, even the Atmasphere, may not be ideal.I'm thinking one of the other Class A SS recommendations, assuming t...

OR, maybe a Musical Fidelity supercharger amp combined with a lower power Class A might be interesting.
Class A Amp
Ouch.If there is such a thing, better have deep pockets and keep tabs on your power bill.Class D/Ice Power would be a greener and more practical option I would think.
new small room, big change
What makes a speaker "musical" as opposed to "linear"?
Speaker Help Required
Maybe try placing a plant stand or some other item in the corner first to see if damping the corner solves the problem before dropping $350 on a high priced sonic obstacle.
Speaker Help Required
For a room like this with more difficult issues in locating speakers, clearly either Ohm Micro Walsh Talls ($1000) or 100s ($1700).The wide dispersion, more omnidirectional dispersion pattern on these help make speaker placement with good results ...

Chadlesko,Even the small Dynaudios Contour 1.3's do need a good clean 60w/ch or better, be located at the correct height and need to be several feet away from walls and have room to breathe to sound best. If you can meet these requirements, they m...
