Scansonic mb serie
Good luck, Mekong56. I'd heard the Raidho D1s and the Scansonic hype (from folks I'm confident in) "got me". I'm now breaking in a pair of 2.5s. I also went through that "unexpected purchase" situation as well. :-)
Hidden factors in A-B comparisons.
Interesting situation on the static and settling in before comparison. And, since cable comparisons typically are rather difficult to make on a blind A-B basis I think I'd agree that multi-day listening allows one to slowly get a feel for the over...
Aerial Acoustics vs. Joseph Audio
For me, hands down it's the Joseph Audio sound. Absolutely lovely, and a speaker you can listen to for hours. I've heard the Pulsars many times, the Perspectives and the Pearl II's and loved them all. The Pulsars are giant killers if you don't nee...

Amp/ preamp for electostatics and why
With my SL3s I'm running a Melos MA-333 Reference preamp along with Muse Model 300 monoblocks and enjoying it. I guess the Melos is a type of hybrid using four 6922 tubes. Works for me.
Good Amp for Martin Logan Monolith II
Over the years, on my SL3s I've run an old Adcom GFA-585LE (only until I bought something else), the Threshold T200, an early Edge, MacCormack DNA 1, and currently the Muse Model 300 monoblocks. Only the Edge continually overheated and wouldn't ru...
