West Coast Jazz?
Thanks to the knowledgeable music lovers who contributed, I am on the track to some fantastic "West Coast Jazz".
The many musical faces of Mr. Miles Davis?
The phrase, "unintended consequences" is always associated with something bad. In Mr. Davis's case it turned into something good. Each time he changed styles of music, he gained new fans. While his old fans, like me, didn't approve of his new musi...
Opinions on budget TT
I have a Rega P3-24 tweaked to the bone and I like it.
Back to analog ..was it a mistake???
Yes it was a mistake if you are not ready for "Minutae", which means minute tweaking up the ying yang. Very deep pockets also help, a lot deeper than mine.
Is Hi-fi getting more expensive?

Where to find Shuguang tubes?
Shuguang 12ax7's are some of the best.

What is your favorite Chick Corea CD/Album?
"My Spanish Heart"
Your ONE all time favorite love song?
"Somewhere in the Night" by Carly Simon is my favorite.
Reel to Reel
Taping vinyl makes it easy to hear them played back, and saves the wear and tear on your records. The playback from 2track is better than the original, although you use double the amount of tape that you would use on 4track.
Dr. John
The song "In a Sentimental Mood" by Dr. John, is the most beautiful I have ever heard.
Whats on your turntable tonight?
I am spinning the most unusual music ever recorded by Grant Green; the motion picture soundtrack "The Final Come-Down".

Foster_9, I appreciate your contribution to this thread. Since our tastes are in harmony, I know you will dig Chico Freeman "The Emissary", if you don't already have it. I dug that Miles you hipped me to.

Nicotico, google shows miles with a red ferrari, although he may have also owned a yellow one before that one.
