Dahlquist DQ 10 help.
Whenever I read of a need for high current amps I think of the Quad 909. At 140 watts and a price of about $600 used they are a steal. The critics rave about them but I do not read much about them here on Agon - curious...
NAD vs. Cambridge Audio
fwiw I have read the Cambridge amps are slightly forward in the mid to upper region...
Tube-amp for Magnepan?
Amandarae, you said: "Well, in maggie land, 50 hz is called "deep bass" anyway so it might work for you."I disagree. I think the 1.6 has bass into the upper 30s (when set up properly), they are darn good in this regard. Amazing IMO...

maybe wait for the Maggie 1.7 that would be my choice...
amp or preamp most important
start at the speakers and work backwards, match speakers to room, amp to speakers, pre to amp and finally get a source that will blend with the overall tonal balance you desire, tweek with wire.IMO YMMV of course...so amp first!
Fixing a Broken NAD C320BEE
I guess my feeling is IF it gets repaired properly then you got a good deal but sometimes things do not work out that way and then the headaches begin.I do not want to jinx you, just my feelings...
Fixing a Broken NAD C320BEE
unless he is almost giving it away I would not even consider that arrangement, not worth the headaches when a used one is not that expensive (if you can find one)
