Need a transport solution-Suggestions? PC based?
Someone sells a PC based transport direct mail, but I can't recall. I think it's right here in the archives or in Audiocircle. I think it's here. No, it's Audiocircle. Maybe it's here...
New system too bright. Will different cables help ?
Cables can make or break you, but you need to remember that NAD stuff tends to sound overly warm and smooth in exchange for details. I am a strong advocate of proper power delivery/noise control measures and will strongly suggest you start there. ...
Cable Suggestions for my system?
I would add to your list the Poiema series by Ridge Street Audio Designs. They are must hear cables and interconnects, if you can afford them...
Analog under 2k?
My recommendation is for you to search the archives.
I have dedicated lines, but why is this happening?
TWL's answer makes the most sense. I sometimes get a pop from the microwave. It's RF and it somehow gets in my system. Maybe shielding the RF source will work.
Review of Michael Wolff Carbon Ribbon Source power
Very good review; impartial and informative. You understand what you are doing. That West Side Story musical I can't stand. It's extremely improper and full of bigotry.

High end is who you are, not what you buy.
TT interconnects and power cords
Why are you worried about power cord & ICs? You just purchased a TT with a utility-regulated AC synchronous motor! Remember, half the music is in the record, the time domain half is provided by the TT...
Review: Ridge Street Audio Midnight Silver Edition GEN. II Interconnect
Now that I've used the Gen II's I can say that they're everything that's been previously said. Although more extension, musicality and added information is there, what I like most is the better defined outlines of the instruments and the blackness...
Cartridge cleaning
I use demineralized water.
Review: Ridge Street Audio Midnight Silver Edition GEN. II Interconnect
Miker, your system is decent--what you might need is to tackle power delivery/noise control and room acoustics. The first one should be rather simple--take a look at Lak's rig. It is similar to mine (except that I'm a nomad)and you can do somethin...
Review: Ridge Street Audio Midnight Silver Edition GEN. II Interconnect
I got my set of Gen II's this afternoon! What can I say? Well, first that Robert asked me to send him my set of MSE so that he could burn them in on this new cable cooker he had devised. The Gen I and II's were to be shipped back together. Now my ...
Rediscovering the Joy of Digital?
Those belt drives are no fun--get a 1200 and do the mods!............If you have one of those belt driven Parasound's I can understand--I also have one. Let me tell you, though. There IS quite some tweaking with digital. Don't be misled.
Is this the best analog has to offer?
Adjusting the VTA for different records? Get real. Like Pbb said, once the equipment starts being more a problem than a solution you are clearly into dysfunctional audio high-ender territory.
