MM or MC cartridge.....
Be nice, guys...the coil moves in the MC, the magnet moves in the MM. That answers the question. Now go buy an audio book!
Getting married, and I need to redo system.. ?'s..
Listen to the Psychic...Keep audio and video separate--if you want to keep sanity in your married life!!!It's better to have a simple nearfield setup for your audio and then a den for movies and background music...

For the money, the Ortofon X5 is really hard to beat ($115 from Hong Kong). For rock music you might want to try a Stanton, too.

Ortofon sells a step up transformer (it's in their website). Pretty beefy unit and it can be purchased through Hong Kong for less than $500. You'll save so much it will be worth to send it to vapor cryo treatment...

Quote: "Psychic: What is the difference of employing some type of "filter action" in a power cord or putting it inside of a fancy box ?"Answer: There is no difference--theoretically.Now, by having one component perform *two* functions, try to eval...

Bybee filters worked really well on my loudspeakers, but that's no substitute for line conditioning. Goto www.dezorel.com and download their "Noise Basics" file. It's a good starting point.I don't believe a power cord should be a filter. But, what...
Cable vs. Electronics: biggest bang for the buck
Greg, we just subcontract an extruder--and if it's in Mexico we'll discuss business at the 'restaurant' where my girlfriends work and we'll charge on the Visa (actually the charge says "Restaurant Bar Alvarado"--my kind of place). Get the point?On...
