| How long should it take a platter to get up to speed? Don't apply too much talc and use 90% alcohol. If it is still a slow starter try taking the belt off and give the platter a spin. | What turntable to start out with ? Pioneer PLX-1000 or VPI Nomad Buy one of the following used; Well Tempered Record Player, AR ES1, Linn, orThorens TD 150. All of these are a much better value than what you are looking at a the cost will be less. so you can spend more on a cartridge or phono stage. |
