| Finding the 'weakest link' when upgrading? @willemj The belief that good components make everything ancillary (cables, power, teacups, fuses, magic paste) affect the sound is total hogwash. Only lousy crap components do that. A well designed and well built component should be resolving to ... | |
| New Tweak --- Its Fantastic @perfectpathtech You read completely wrong. I said I am confident that what you said is true about bonded electricians insalling your TC paste in 35 electrical panels. I am helping your cause.I am sure you will provide links to documents confirm... | |
| New Tweak --- Its Fantastic @geoffkait No need to discuss further. Either it is true or it isn’t true that licensed bonded electricians did the work on 35 electrical panels (and documented evidence will be forthcoming on at least a few to confirm). I am confident it is true.... | |
| New Tweak --- Its Fantastic 35 electrical panels is impressive...Actually it is often the opposite of a short that can be a problem. A poor or incomplete contact can create high levels of heat so it is important that whatever you apply does not dry out or break down over ti... | |
| Finding the 'weakest link' when upgrading? Weakest link is your own subjective confused expectations. Too many confused folks hearing radical change because they imagined so. If you suppose after significant investment that a system is excellent and truely high fidelity then a “radical imp... | |

| Firewire immune to jitter? I am not sure why you think your DAC202 has a problem. This is one of the best DACs on the market probably only superseded by the latest Weiss. Weiss has excellent jitter rejection so why are you worried? | |
| 805 maxtrix tweeter It should come apart after you pop it out and get the waveguide face plate off. For these reasons and more, ATC no longer use ferrofluid tweeter designs but almost all other manufacturers still do. | |
| Why do many discussions about sonic performance disintegrate into technical discusions? If I were trying to sell high end stuff on these forums based on anecdotal subjective sonic performance then I would not welcome technical comments, as it confuses the buyer. | |
| Looking for not too expensive Turntable Don’t now about jitter. May be you are hearing pitch variations due to the flexibility of the belt - wow and flutter. DD is better technology. Pioneer DD is actually very good in the late 70’s. | |
| Popping when kids are jumping Sounds like a loose connection. Check your wires and binding posts. | |
| What other streaming services do you recommend besides Tidal? You can check line speed easily just google Speed Test and download the app - there are several. | |
| What other streaming services do you recommend besides Tidal? I am using wifi and Tidal runs fine but I do use Roon as an interface. So maybe Tidal desktop app has a bug?I get 150 Mbps download speeds using wifi.8 GB RAM Mac Mini with 1 TB SSD and 2.8 GHz i5Perhaps you don’t have enough RAM (to buffer Tidal)... | |
| Best - Must Have IEMs - Chinese Origin @gdhal Just check out Amazon reviews. These are expensive but extremely good. They aren’t as comfortable as big over ear open backs but they are much more portable and they offer 37 dB outside noise reduction with memory foam buds. Great for fligh... |
